It didn’t seem fair that travel with kids was full of compromises. And we saw a way to make family travel affordable and comfortable.
When we were trying to home swap, the home swapping platforms were cumbersome and outdated.

Fell in love with the concept of swapping - but not with how cumbersome it was
We saw Hervé’s sister struggle to travel after having a child. She tried the home swapping platforms—too much coordination. She tried Airbnbs—they weren’t equipped with the things her family needed.
Our friends with kids were having the same problem.
We realized it was only a matter of time until we faced the “family accommodation” problem as well.

What if we created a home swapping platform built specifically for families?
The homes would be equipped for adults and kids.
You wouldn’t need to deal with the usual home swapping faff of lining up dates and cleaning.
And you’d get concierge services to organize a private chef, a nanny, housekeeping, airport transfers… practically everything your family needs to make sure your holiday feels like a holiday (not just a trip).
If we created a platform like that, Hervé’s sister and our friends could explore the world comfortably with their kids now.

Why do we even care that families travel?
If more families would travel, our society would be more tolerant. More respectful. And instead of questioning, we’d embrace each other’s differences.
My way of seeing the world is “nothing is strange, it’s just different”. As a kid I was an unstoppable explorer, and this has stayed the same. The world is just too irresistibly interesting, even if that means doing things that feel uncomfortable at first.
If Ilona is fire, I’m water. There’s very little that will stop me when I commit to doing it. Even if it takes time and patience - as a kid that was getting my black belt in Taekwondo. For me, being curious makes it possible, something my parents always encouraged us to be!
